In short:
- You can play without an account. Your scores, settings, Prisms and skins are saved on your own device.
- If you choose to join the world leaderboards, you sign in with your email, Google or Apple. We store your email (to sign you in), the player name you pick, your best scores and your Prisms and skins (so they follow you to other devices). Your player name and scores are shown publicly.
- Colorwise shows no ads and sends no game statistics. Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play.
- We don't sell your information.
Who we are
Colorwise ("the game") is made by De-Evolution Studios ("we", "us"). This policy covers the game on iPhone and Android. If you have any questions, email contact@deevolutionstudios.com.
Information saved on your device
The game saves the following on your device so it can remember your progress: your best scores and ranks per track, your Daily progress, whether you've finished the tutorial, your settings (volume, timing and accessibility), your Prism balance, the skins you own and the ones you've chosen. This information stays on your device unless you sign in (see below). We can't see it.
Accounts and world leaderboards (optional)
Anyone can view the leaderboards. To put your name on them you sign in, then choose a player name. You can sign in in one of these ways:
- Email: we email you a one-time code.
- Google: Google confirms who you are and shares your email address and name with us. We keep only your email address; we don't get your password or anything else from your Google account. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Apple (in the iPhone app): Apple confirms who you are and shares your email address, or a private relay address if you choose "Hide My Email". We keep only that address. See Apple's privacy policy.
We then store:
- your email address, used only to sign you in (we never show it or send you marketing);
- your player name, your best score on each track this week and of all time, and when you set them;
- your Prism balance, the skins you own and the look you've chosen, so they're the same on every device you sign in on.
Only finished runs are submitted, and we check each one so impossible scores can be rejected. Your player name and scores are public on the leaderboards. Names that are rude or that copy someone else may be removed.
Your De-Evolution account is shared with our other games that use the same sign-in, such as Candi's Swamp Hop, so you can use one account for all of them. This information is stored by our provider, Supabase (see the Supabase privacy policy). To delete your account or just your Colorwise information, see how to delete your Colorwise data.
Other information
Apart from the optional accounts and leaderboards, we don't run servers for the game or our own analytics, and the game sends no gameplay statistics, crash reports or ad data.
Purchases
The store sells skins for Prisms, which you earn by playing, or for money. Purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play under their own privacy policies. We never see your payment details.
Children
Colorwise is meant for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age required where you live) without a parent's consent. If you think a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing contact@deevolutionstudios.com. If you live in the European Union or the UK, you can also object to how we use it and complain to a data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above.
