Effective October 22, 2026
D2048 is a game made by De-Evolution Studios ("we", "us"), based in Brooklyn, New York. This policy explains what information the game uses, why, and the choices you have. If you have a question, email contact@deevolutionstudios.com.
The short version
- You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name, email or any other personal details to play.
- Your progress is saved on your own device. We don't upload it to our servers.
- The game shows optional video ads, only when you tap to watch one. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which collects some device information to show and measure ads, as described below.
- Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play, and recorded by our purchase service, RevenueCat, so you can restore them. We never see your payment details.
- The app sends anonymous gameplay statistics to Google Analytics for Firebase (which modes and levels are played, how games end, which ads are watched) and crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics, so we can improve and fix the game. These aren't linked to your name.
Information saved on your device
The game stores your progress and settings on your device so you can pick up where you left off: levels, stars, gold records, items, unlocked packs, sound volume and similar game data. This stays on your device. Deleting the game deletes it. If you use your device's own backup (such as iCloud or Google backup), that backup is handled by Apple or Google under their privacy policies.
Ads (Google AdMob)
D2048 offers optional rewarded video ads: for example, watching an ad for extra moves or a revive. An ad only plays when you choose to watch it. To deliver these ads, we use Google AdMob. Google may collect and process:
- device identifiers, such as your device's advertising ID (on iPhone, only if you allow tracking);
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system and app version;
- information about the ads you see and interact with.
Google uses this information to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and, where you allow it, show ads that are more relevant to you. Google's use of this information is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your choices:
- On iPhone and iPad, the game asks whether you allow tracking before using your advertising identifier. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device's Google settings.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown, using Google's consent tool. You can say no and still play and watch ads; they will just be less personalized.
- You never have to watch an ad to play D2048.
Purchases
D2048 offers optional purchases, such as theme packs. These are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive confirmation that a purchase was made so the game can unlock it, but we never receive your name, card number or other payment details.
To keep track of purchases and let you restore them on a new device, we use RevenueCat. When you open the store or buy a pack, RevenueCat receives a random ID made by the game (not linked to your name or email), your purchase history for D2048 (which packs, when, the price and currency, and refunds), and basic device and app information such as the operating system, app version and country. RevenueCat processes this on our behalf only to record and restore purchases; it doesn't use it for advertising. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Game statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
To learn how D2048 is played and what to improve, the iPhone, iPad and Android apps use Google Analytics for Firebase. It receives:
- a random ID for this installation of the app (and, on Android, your device's advertising ID; on iPhone and iPad, only if you allow tracking);
- what you do in the game: which screens you open, the mode and level you play, how each game ends (won or lost, moves used, gold, items used), the tutorial steps you finish, your player level, which ad offers you see and watch, and which packs you look at or buy;
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system, app version, language and approximate location (country or region, from your IP address);
- when you first open the app, how long you play and how often you come back.
We see these as totals and trends in Google's Firebase console, not as a record of a named person: we don't send your name, email or any other personal details. Google processes this data for us under the Firebase data processing terms and the Google Privacy Policy, and keeps the detailed records for a limited time before deleting them. The website version of D2048 doesn't use Google Analytics.
Your choices: on iPhone and iPad, saying no to tracking stops the advertising identifier being used; on Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the answer you give on Google's consent form also applies to these statistics. Uninstalling the app starts a new random ID if you install it again.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the app crashes or hits an error, Firebase Crashlytics sends us a report so we can fix it: what went wrong and where in the app, the last few screens or games before it happened, a random ID for this installation, the device model, operating system and app version, and the time. It doesn't include your name or other personal details. Google processes these reports for us under the same Firebase terms and deletes them after a limited time (90 days).
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't ask for or collect your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location.
- We don't run our own analytics or tracking servers; game statistics and crash reports go only to Google Firebase, as described above.
Deleting your data
D2048 has no accounts, so there is nothing to sign out of or delete in the app. Your game progress lives only on your device: uninstalling D2048 deletes it. To have your purchase records deleted from RevenueCat, or to ask about anything else we hold, email contact@deevolutionstudios.com with the subject "D2048 data deletion" and, if you can, the date of your purchase and your App Store or Google Play order number. We will delete it and confirm by email. Data held by Google for ads can be reset or deleted in your device's Google or Apple settings, as described above. Game statistics in Google Analytics aren't linked to your name and are deleted by Google after a limited time; uninstalling the app stops them, and if you email us we will ask Google to delete the statistics from your installation.
Children
D2048 is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. Because we don't collect personal information ourselves, most requests are best handled through the settings above or directly with Google. For purchase records kept by RevenueCat, email us and we'll have them deleted. You can always email us and we'll help.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll also let you know in the game.
